Only in Detroit can you not have anything nice just sitting minding its own business. Downtown we have a spare house that was my aunts. Its been there since what has to be the Early 1900's and it has mural walls its pretty cool. Well some lazy folks (insert profanity if you want i know i want too) decided it would be a great place to remove the pipes from out of the newly plastered bathroom, all the venting from the basement, the valve from the gas fireplace, and even the @#*^# water meter. Yes.... the water meter too. I have no idea how a scrap yard will take a water meter but I'm sure they will after all no one cares, this is Detroit.

Sick day / Random Sunday Post

• Since I'm conscious nothing like spreading a little random blog cheer in between coughing and tring to breath which feels like I'm inhaling daggers in my right lung.

• I can thank my Aunt for gift wrapping this nice viral lung infection when everyone told her to stay home i have been wiped out for 4 days not including the 4 days of feeling crappy and not knowing what was going down. Thanks again.....

• Its been wonderful warm weather here but when I went outside to go pick up my check my eyes were all messed up from being in the house so i almost toppled over so much for enjoying the weather.

• I have to go back to work tomorrow i think i will possibly have the worlds largest cup of tea with me again. Pretty much I have one of those huge 7/11 cups toss like 10 tea bags in it and add hot watter. Wait we are out of sugar .........

• You never realize how tangled your hair can get until you lay on it for 4 days. This is epic.

• My ex-gf text messaged me at 2am letting me know she finally got a sweet job out there in California congrats to her and her folks. Can i get an autograph?

Well time for more mind altering medications so that's all for now. Wish me luck at work tomorrow this is going to be awesome.

Maybe I Need To Stop Listening To The Raido

They should have talked it out

Since I'm a test driver I am in a car for 10 hours a day so i get lots of time to listen to the radio. Unfortunately cheating and stuff gets on my nerves (see blog post "Dude You Catch All The Wrong Episodes" Sept. 26, 2006) so of course the topic on the radio was who's having a relationship at work. Now call me naive but i was thinking ah who's in love with a co-worker. Apparently real topic was who's getting it on at work and is married to someone else. Needless to say i was pissed at all the people who called in. One particular lady was cheating on her husband for 10 years!!! If its been that long you might as well get a divorce and go off with that guy. I would rather that than she bring me home a present that get me a free trip to the Disease Control Center. I just don't get it, if your unhappy at home why not say something and try to talk it out? I figure that a lot of this cheating and backstabbing could have been solved with a simple conversation between the pair, or at least if its not solved they could work toward solving what ever it is whether not enough creativity in the bedroom to someones feet stink. Why not work it out instead of going and hurting your partner/ boyfriend/ husband/ whatever? Come on people of Michigan get it together! Even though I'm probably staying single i want to see some one happy. For all you people out there doing the right think keep it up I'm cheering for you.

Autorama

Went to Autorama this past weekend it was pretty nice. Lots of cars this year and they cut out the car sales section so they could squeeze in more cars for the actual show on the main floor. I know one thing parking down town is outrageous!!! I ended up rolling the dice on a parking meter rather than pay someone in a lot $20 to park. Give me a break, $20 just so you can stick some car behind me and i wont be able to get out when i get back? But anyway i took my father and we had a good time. Now I'm all fired up to get to work on my own vehicle. (sigh) Just need the cash......

Happy International Woman's Day to all the lovely ladies out there. I don't think Woman's day was mentioned on the local news but it was all over the international news i listen to every day. I guess they love women more in different countries? Well short post today cause it late and I'm tired ill post more tomorrow.

I Feel Violated....

So I'm talking to a friend at work and she decides to show me some pictures on her camera. So i take a look at it and its a picture of someone back with a lot of cuts on it. So me in my own world i thought someone fell or tripped over something so I ask:

Me: WOW who is that??
Her: Oh that's my boyfriends back here i have a closer picture! (she speaks pretty loudly)
Me: Dang!! that's messed up what did he fall over?
Her: hunh? He didn't fall over anything.
Me: Well what did he rub against hes all cut up?
Her: (smile)
Me: Hmmmmm
Her: Look you can see fingerprint shaped bruises on this side! (points)
Me: Wait a min......
Her: (smile)
Me: Dude I feel so unclean.... (walks off)

Yeah I guess I need to get out more.

Random Monday

1. I really am thinking of finding a new job i need more cash i got so many design ideas for my Mustang project i need to do something.


2. My new years resolution is coming in handy I'm getting in less arguments by commenting less.


3. The above resolution is darn near killing me.


4. I still need to turn my taxes in to the tax man I'm just too lazy to take a trip there.


5. My jeeps motor is making some strange noises i don't think its major but that means a trip back to the engine builder who i had an argument with last time i was there so I'm sure it wont be a pleasant trip back.


6. I found my old journal with writings of when i was in love with my ex-gf i cant believe i wrote that stuff.


7. I'm glad some of my friends who are also learning musical instruments are playing with me on Sunday who knows we just may turn the Church out!!!


8. Even dogs have common sense. After the ice storm it took my dog sliding once to realize maybe he shouldn't pull on the leash so much.


9. I could really use the money from the lottery jackpot its like 217 million now I'm sure i wouldn't get that much but dang it would come in handy


10. Life needs to be like anime. 28 mins and some sweet special moves later your problem is usually solved, you got the girl, and you get to walk into the sunset like the man. (sigh)

Can I collect Unemployment for 1 Day?

If I'm not working I can't build my dream loft/garage :D

Man I wonder if i can collect unemployment for 1 day? Seems like every week I am short a day of work because a truck is down or there is not enough cars to drive. Hence I don't get paid and if I come in and surprise there is no work I get two hours and a trip back home. I don't think I have worked a whole forty hour week this month. It its starting to take its tole on my finances so I have once again started looking for jobs. I applied at a parts importing business so i will need suits to work there, and i applied at a dynamometer place so I will need some junkey clothes to work there. Its going to be hard either place because I'm so used to working outside and having some freedom. Last time I worked indoors was that factory where I was going to smash someone (another long story). I look forward to either job anyway. I just hate to leave because my job is easy and its fun but when it comes down to it, if its not paying the bills it just makes life hard. Ahhh the day when i can find a happy medium. I look forward to that day cause then your having so much fun its not like work at all.

Well its officially past Valentines day. That means countless millions were spent on the ladies by guys hopelessly in love. Well all i gotta say is keep your money fellas. What ever happened to just being happy by spending a day together and sharing time? Now it seems diamonds, roses and Bentleys have replaced time and romance. Gotta make the lady happy? Order up a dozen roses and have em delivered to her job along with the Bentley. It all just seems so commercial to me now. I used to be that way though. One time when my ex was at school in D.C. I sent 2 dozen red long stem roses in a vase arranged by a florist and tied to the vase was 1 dozen large red i love you balloons. People at her school were all jealous i felt like the man but man my wallet was hurting after that one. I always did over the tops stuff. Diamond earrings for our anniversary, assorted jewelry for b-days and its not like i was trying to buy her love it just felt good to see a smile on her face. But to tell the truth i was making her happy but what i really wanted was to just sit with her and watch a movie or hold each other and i listen to her heart beat. It was stuff like that that made me happy when i was holding her i was in the best of moods. When we separated it was on pretty good terms. She wasn't the nicest of people toward the end but i think a lot was going on and distance drove a wedge between us. Do i regret buying the stuff? The evil side of me says hell yeah but the soft side of me which used to roam free enjoyed every bit of it. But some times you just miss the simple things. Walking hand in hand, holding each other watching a movie, Her screaming and climbing all over you at a scary movie, going out to dinner and hanging out with other couples, best of all listening to heart beats. But on ward and upward my advice though is to one time on valentines day put down the roses and Bentleys and just share some time. Who knows it just may end up being the best money you never spent.

1 Bad Roller Bearing Trebuchet

Who wouldn't be sore after sitting in a car driving for 10 hours a day then coming home and sitting around and doing nothing. I have to get back into my routine of working out when i come home like I did in the fall. I still have the muscle i built but its gone lax so i gotta get all back in shape. I'm sore in places i have not been sore in a long time. I stopped working out in the fall when my physics project (the trebuchet) ate up all my time because my team abandoned me. But thanks to my friend Dave and his father letting me use their wood shop i was able to kick some major butt in the competition. I probably own the baddest tennis ball trebuchet on the planet. But any way where was i?? Oh yeah sore. So this week i will be in the basement pumping some iron getting my muscles back into working order. After all if i take that trip to Venice beach this summer like i want i gotta be in top condition so i can take a pic next to the sign. And everyone knows ladies like the muscles ;D. So back to the old routine i had; come in work out play organ, shower, maybe a little game time then bed. Yep time to get to it.

Birthday Adventure

Had to renew my CDL today nothing like going out and watiting in the Secretary of State line. Well got to run arround downtown chasing after a friend that got seperated so that was awesome. Got to see a cd slice the fingers of another friends after he was just waving his hand arround and bumped his cd like pocket thing. I was treated to a big fried chicken dinner (mmmmmm mmmmm good) by my parents and an excelent cake to. So today was pretty eventful and turned out awesome. Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy B-day. I guess they are right, "time waits for no man."

Irritable please excuse me if i seem snappy

Irritable…. That’s what I am. I’m not sure why but for the past month the smallest things have been getting on my nerves. If I seem snappy sorry cause I’m not sure what’s going on. I have been super tired lately maybe that’s what it is but who knows. Lately my parents have been asking me obvious questions and I just get irritated because they should know the answer. Perhaps it’s all the nonsense going on with the church and all this craziness and the switching of church homes and ….. blech it’s just a mess. I just hope I get this new dynamometer job. That would be the perfect b-day gift for me.

The Organ Grinder

Well today I decided to start on the other part of my new years resolution which was to practice the organ and at least try to become decent. I don’t expect to become like the man in one day but you wont believe how much you suck after you stop doing something for over 10 years. I can’t remember most of my stuff from piano so im going to have to pretty much start over. Hey but I figure in about 20 years I should pe pretty good. I need a Leslie speaker for it and since it’s a model CV Hammond I need to get a percussion unit installed. Well slowly but surely I will get that done. Since I play by ear mostly and I read music slowly I need it to sound as closely to what everyone else is playing. So I guess I will always have something to do when I get home instead of napping as usual. If you think the organ bench looks a little weird, yeah it does. I had to make it out of some oak boards because it didint come with a bench and i couldn't believe that a new one is over $600. So wanting to be a fabricator anyway i drew up a design using pictures of real benches and it came out pretty good. I guess necessity is the mother of invention after all.

Possible new job! Yay me!! I’m hoping that this place will pick me up not only will I be making more but I will have actual health insurance! I have just been so tired lately that I haven’t been posting. I haven’t even been playing World of Warcraft and I’m still paying for it. I just got too tired of doing the same battle ground over and over. Is it me or does it seem like every one is having a baby? Most of my female friends are either pregnant or trying to get pregnant. Am I missing something? Did I miss a memo of where I was supposed to go forth and multiply? I think one of me is enough for the world, I just don’t think the general populace could handle another me. Well back to the job. I will still be working at my current job just for gas money (lord knows with the prices these days it’s a wallet eater) and only work there 1 day a week but its not bad cause it’s a 10 hour shift. I just hope I get to drive something sweet. I will miss working at my current job though the people were nice and the work was light. Well onwards and upwards.

Happy Ney Year!!!

Happy New Year!!! To everyone out there who reads my blog or not. This year was looking pretty bad toward the end but these past 2 weeks have been the best. There’s nothing like hanging out with your friends, making new friends, and just plain chillin to get the soul back in the right place. Relaxation was the name of the game with me not having to work for a record 5 days in a row then combo it up with another 4 days off to recharge the batteries. I got to see my friend Ivan from the army and I haven’t seen him in ages. I got to see The other Dave from Texas and watch some of the greatest fights in Street Fighter Alpha history along with some other fighting games. I got to hear from some friends I haven’t seen or heard form in a while. And even my ex-girlfriend came to church so I said hello to her and last time I seen her it was over a year ago I believe. But all in all it was one of the best new years parties I ever went too this weekend. Everyone came by, everyone had food, lots of root beer, and any thing else you wanted to drink. We all told cool stories and just talked about the old days. Then in the morning nothing like waking up and having a cat about to barf on you….and the cat didn’t even have any thing to drink …. yeah it’s as weird as it sounds and no I won’t be sleeping on the floor again and their house. But it was still hilarious all the same and all they guys just pretty much did the usual relationship talking after all the ladies left. Shoot if it keeps going like this it will be one cool year if we can all keep hanging out and such. Man now I can’t wait till the net new years/ Christmas party. Oh yeah I should be back to my usual more often blog schedule. I was too busy pulling off one of my famous man how did I do that special operations to get everyone’s Christmas gift so was a little busy. I will be back pounding the blogs out pretty soon. Stay tuned for more, same bat time, same bat station. (Batman joke)

Man I guess I need to ease back or something. Maybe I need a vacation? Maybe I need to go on a cruise? I need to do something cause my comments on my friends relationships has been kind of harsh lately. I have sort of adapted a what ever attitude toward anything that just seems stupid. Like telling someone to do something and they didn't do it next thing you know its broke ( keeping it vague) so instead of my saying awwww that's too bad I'm like dude I told you ages ago. A friend of mine didn't heed my warning on her myspace and I'm like hmmm why didn't you listen (the vandals had a ball with the page)? I guess that's the source of my attitude maybe its cause no one is listening when I'm trying to tell them something good. Maybe I'll adjust my volume next time.

Wow its been a while. I have been missing because of my physics class project. After my "partners" left me and built their own trebuchet I was either going to let them grad me on what I contributed (nothing) or build my own. Well I built it and boy did I build it. I changed designs 5 time and the end result was the best. It ended up being too big to fit in my jeep so I ended up strapping it to the top which gets you lots of looks driving down the freeway. When I took it off the top half the class came over to study it. I have to say it was one of the best looking ones out there and one of the farthest shooting ones there. I will post a pic later but first I have to give Props to my friend David. With out all his wood working tools and a place to actually build it, it wouldn't have been completed. You the man Dave. But now that that's over I can finally get some rest and sleep too. Heh just remember I have play practice at church tomorrow... no rest for the wicked eh?

Pre Turkey Day Fabrication

Hey sorry not many posts I'm still working on the trebuchet and its coming along ok. IM shooting for a test firing Saturday but I still don't know. I have run into a lot of unforeseen problems but I'm working them out. Like I wasn't going to be able to freeze the axle and I need to reduce the size so it can fit in the bearing. Well I don't have a lathe so out comes the grinder and I just rotated the axle until it fit. I went a little far but its no so small that it will cause a problem. I did make one mistake on the arm I drilled a hole out bigger than I needed and it is making the counter weight a little wobbly but I can still manage that. I still have to make a few more things, drill the axle for the bearing holders, mount the axle, make a trigger, make a tie down string and make a pouch for the tennis ball we will be throwing. That's not much to do its all pretty simple.

I love this time of year because instead of going outside and smelling smog, you can go outside and smell food. I'm not kidding when I walk down the block all I smell is cake and what seems to be sweet potatoes. I just gotta clean up my room before company comes over I got parts and screws and stuff everywhere. Well off to clean for me have a happy turkey day.
